Business Description
We are delighted to offer this profitable embroidery business to the market. Established by the vendor in 1990, it is now being sold to allow him to retire.

Our client has worked diligently over the past couple of decades to create an excellent reputation in the field of garment embroidery. Utilising modern equipment, the success of the company has stemmed from the embroidery of a wide range of garments with various logos.

Regular work is undertaken for eight local schools with much of the work relating to school uniforms.

In addition, contracts are undertaken applying logos and insignia on a range of work wear.

The vendor has invested significantly in a portfolio of 20,000 logos, the patterns for which are held electronically.

In addition to the core embroidery work, T shirt and sports shirt printing provides an additional income stream.

Included within the consideration price is all equipment required to undertake contracts:

• Tayoma 12 needle 4 head embroidery machine (£30,000 new)
• Malco single needle twin head embroidery machine
• Cutter
• Heat Press
• Sundry Tooling

We are advised that the stock holding is approximately £6, 000 and that the vendor would be happy to assist the new purchaser with a period of handover. Required training to operate the machinery is minimal.

On either side of the premises there is a café, with outside seating, and a delicatessen. The market itself supports an eclectic range of businesses and is very much a shoppers’ destination. The main Peterborough Passport Office is within a few minutes’ walk, and there is a large multi-storey pay and display car park serving the need of visitors and shoppers alike.

Peterborough is a large modern city with a population of 164,000. Designation as a “new town” in the 1960s has ensured a significant growth over recent years, with extensive investment in the local social and transport infrastructure. The main A1/A1M Great North Road passes Peterborough on a north/south axis with access at Junction 17. The City lies 75 miles to the north of London, with the County city of Cambridge some 30 miles to the south.
