Business Description
We are pleased to have been instructed to offer to the market this extremely well established destination pub and restaurant, which has been in existence since the 19th century.

The current vendor has been in ownership for the last 3 years and is reluctantly selling due to a wish to down size from this very large venue to something smaller.

This destination pub and restaurant was given the prestigious ‘ pub of the season’ award by Camra in 2009.

The pub is a real ale house with its large and well equipped commercial kitchen offering a wide range of home cooked food. The wet/dry trade is split approx 60/40.

The pub stands on a very large 2.5 acre site with a massive 300 seating rear patio used for spring/summer months. This leads to a large open field, providing a play area, a heated swimming pool and a good sized covered area for groups, live bands, games etc.

The rear field also provides extra parking, if required as well as an area for large outdoor functions and camping. To cope with this level of outside activity, there is a separate bar and commercially equipped snack bar providing hot and cold snacks and light meals.

The indoor restaurant has covers for 50-60 people with an extension carvery area, especially for Sunday lunchtime.

As well as a large and comfy lounge area, the pub also has a good size games room with pool table, darts and games machines.

The pub is beautifully decorated with a very high level of upkeep in all areas and has an excellent level of equipment to facilitate its offer.

The level of stock varies according to the time of year – winter months £3 - £4,000, during the summer £5 - £6,000.

Staffing also varies, during the winter months there are 2 full times chefs, the husband and wife team and 4 – 5 part timers as required. In summer, there could be a further 4 -5 part timers as required.
